I presented an oral talk at the 19th International Conference on Aluminum Alloys (ICAA 19), held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, 23–27 June 2024.

Talk title: "Modelling the atom clustering kinetics under the influence of excess vacancies during natural ageing in 6xxx alloys."

This talk presented a multiscale modelling framework that couples vacancy spatial evolution with cluster dynamics to simulate solute clustering during natural ageing in Al–Mg–Si alloys. The model reveals how quenching rate determines the initial vacancy supersaturation and thereby controls the rate and extent of natural-ageing hardening — a key challenge in industrial heat treatment of 6xxx series alloys.
